Introduction to Quantum Information and Computing

We outline the mathematical framework of quantum mechanics, and give an introduction to quantum information theory, quantum computing and quantum algorithms. Since this is the orientation course for the specialization `Mathematics of quantum technology and computation', we also pay special attention to the role in quantum theory by some of the other topics covered in this specialization: functional analysis, spectral theory, representation theory, semidefinite optimization and Lie theory.

The final grade of the course consists of the following components:
