Beschrijving

During this course, you will learn about the mathematical modelling of making decisions. With Savage theory, you will be able to make rational decisions and represent complex settings in terms of uncertainty and preferences. In the second part of the course, you will learn how to approach decision problems in data challenging situations. You will learn about the most rigorous expert judgment method, which has been developed here at TU Delft. You will learn about the numerous applications which have been conducted over the years and the recent research questions in the field. You will also design and carry out your own expert judgment study with an exciting topic.

Toetsing

The final grade of the course consists of the following components:

- Oral examination after Q3 (40% of the final grade)

- Project and report (40% of the final grade)

- oral presentation after Q4 (10% of the final grade) and short report comparing expert judgment methods in Q4 (10%).

Final grade calculation: (0.4 * oral exam) + (0.4 * project report) + (0.1 * oral exam) + (0.1 * report)

Resit/ Repair opportunities:

In case of an insufficient result, repair opportunities may be offered in accordance with TER Implementation Regulations Art 5, sub 5., for:

- oral exam: oral resit

- reports: resubmit deliverable
