Model-based Water Systems Assessment
Beschrijving
This hands-on modeling course gives an introduction to overarching challenges of water and delta systems and their assessment when facing multiple sources of uncertainty, multiple-competing demands and challenging climate and demographic conditions. In addition, we tackle different temporal and spatial and administrative scales demonstrated in water systems from urban water supply, river basin management, water quality control, coastal environments and delta systems. Upon completion, the students are expected to have command of different water and delta systems and their modeling challenges for assessment and policy making.
Toetsing
Attendance is expected during all the lab sessions as we deem it important for the successful completion of the assignments. The assignments will be developed individually or by groups of maximum 2 students.
