TBM AI-Lab onderzoeksstage

The Research Project is an elective/additional course of the TPM Master program carried out in a professional environment within TU Delft and supervised by a TPM supervisor.

MoT, EPA, CoSEM, and TIL students are permitted to obtain 3EC (84 hours).

The Research Project must be approved at least 2 weeks before it starts by the AI-Lab Research Internship

The AI-Lab Research Internship requires one TPM supervisor who must have been appointed as an examiner by the Board of Examiners. Please, confirm with your supervisor that this is the case.

All signatures must be hand-written or digital. Please note that writing down the supervisor's name will not be accepted.

The TPM supervisor for the AI-Lab Research Internship must be different from the (expected) Master supervisor.

The AI-Lab Research Internship is carried out within TU Delft.

The project contains research on a MoT/EPA/CoSEM/TIL-relevant subject and/or design of a MoT/EPA/CoSEM/TIL-relevant object

The focus of the AI-Lab Research Internship must have a clear design and/or engineering component(s), and should address social, technical, or ethical concerns.

The deliverable(s) must be a scientifically valid outcome (e.g., a written report, database, an algorithm, an academic article), although other deliverables are possible in previous agreement with the supervisor. In the latter case, please discuss with the Internship Coordinator Juan M. Duran, via internships-TBM@tudelft.nl how to proceed.

All deliverables will be checked for plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, and stored for future reference in relation to this matter. Deliverables may not be used, in whole or in part, for the Master’s dissertation.

The research project has a mandatory written report, which must include:

1. a problem definition and analysis,

2. a description of the performed activities,

3. the findings,

4. the conclusions,

5. the recommendations and a personal reflection.
