Writing a Master’s Thesis in English

The course is designed to help students overcome the challenges of writing a thesis in English. You will learn how to organise your thesis and apply academic writing techniques to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Relevant aspects of academic style, vocabulary and grammar will be discussed to help you fine-tune your writing. Through extensive feedback, you will learn to identify systematic mistakes so that you can become a more accurate and confident writer. The course will also include discussion of the use of AI tools in the writing process, addressing both their potential and limitations.

Continuous assessment.

Students will complete weekly writing assignments to improve their text composition and writing skills.

Attendance is obligatory; students may miss one session, preferably none. Students who submit their weekly assignments late, repeatedly miss deadlines or lack commitment may be asked to leave the course.

Students will receive their course credits when their work shows sufficient progress and weekly deadlines and all other conditions are met.
