Sustainable Energy Innovations and Transitions
Beschrijving
This course deals with transitions towards sustainability and with theoretical frameworks and strategies for analysing and influencing such transitions. The theoretical frameworks and strategies taught in this course are Strategic Niche Management (SNM), Functions of Innovation Systems (FIS), the Multilevel Perspective, Backcasting and Transition Management. The course focuses on niches around sustainable innovations at the sectoral level as part of larger transitions at the (inter)national level. Since the course is part of the SET program, the lectures and papers focus in particular on sustainable energy innovations and the sustainable energy transition.
This course is the first course in the SET Economics en Society profile. It can also be followed by other MSc students as an elective. Due to overlap, is not allowed to follow this course if you have already followed course TPM033A or 4413TRIG.
