Image Guided Interventions

Image Guided Interventions familiarizes students with the concepts of (minimally invasive) medical interventions, the pivotal role of imaging and guidance for these interventions, the clinical domains (specialities) in which these techniques are applied and the corresponding technical background.

The course is structured around the following clinical domains:

- Neurological interventions and aortic disease

- Cardiovascular interventions

- Hepatobiliary and pancreatic interventions

In addition to the comprehensive elaboration on the use of imaging for interventional purposes, the students will be challenged to examine the role of technoligical developments in this field.
