Machine Learning

Datascience and Machine Learning (Deep Learning) techniques can be applied in all fields in medicine were data, signals and images are involved: from HIX-data, retina OCT images, prostate MRI to ECGs, to genomics and biomics data. This course familiarises students with the basic concepts and methods of Machine Learning. The course will cover several topics such as setting up a ML experiment, normalization, imputation, feature selection methods, dimensionality reduction techniques, classifiers, performance metrics, generalization, overfitting, regularization, bias and ethical issues in Machine Learning. Examples and assignments will be primarily based on the medical field.
