Advanced Discrete Simulation for TIL

This course will only be offered in academic year 2025-2026. Students of cohort 2025-2026 have CIEM6301 in the second year of their programme.

There will be a case study about a logistic or transport problem that has to be modeled with one of the following packages: Simio, Enterprise Dynamics, Plant Simulation, or AnyLogic. We have academic or education licenses for each of these packages.

Students typically work in groups of 3 students on the assignment. Groups of 2 or 4 students will also be allowed.

Part 1 (individual): Written exam, individual closed book

Part 2 (group): Project report and presentation.

• The written exam counts for 50% of the mark

• The project report and presentation count for 50% of the mark

• Both partial marks will be registered in Osiris with one decimal

• Both marks will have to be 5.8 or higher to pass
