Intercultural Integration Project

The 15 ECTS Q2 module has been designed to allow students to practise and reflect on the theories, skills and tools learned during the first half of the minor. Assuming no safety restrictions, students will travel to complete a practical 2-3-month project hosted by an NGO, startup, (social) enterprise, university or governmental organisation, usually in the Global South.

The academic focus during the module is on applying entrepreneurial and project management skills within a challenge-based and experiential learning pedagogy. In doing so, students will work closely with project stakeholders to understand and consider the local context to develop technical solutions that contribute to sustainable socio-economic development.

Each project has a (local) challenge owner and is co-supervised and graded by a member of TU Delft staff. Some projects may also be coached under supervision by a relevant master's student, e.g. by a recent IED alum, or by an external technical supervisor. Students will work in multi-disciplinary teams to solve their assigned challenges
