Summary

The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of large-scale production processes, ranging from individual unit operations to the level of integrated industrial clusters. Students will learn to identify the fundamental components of a process flowsheet, understand their functions, sequencing, and interconnections, and carry out relevant engineering calculations.

Formative assessments during lectures, both individually and in groups (oral participation, and short multiple-choice tests).

The summative assessment is in the form of a final exam in week 10 and has a duration of 3 hours. The exam consists of 2 parts. The first part consists of multiple-choice questions that count for 50% of the final course mark. The second part includes open questions that count for the other 50% of the final course mark.
