Heating and Cooling Sources
Beschrijving
The course provides an overview of sources for heating and cooling, their characteristics, and their role in the energy mix. You will learn to quantify available heating and cooling capacities based on local conditions. The following sources are covered:
Solar thermal
Borehole Heat Exchangers
Geothermal
Waste Heat: data centres, industry, cooling demand)
Aquathermal and other environmental sources
Toetsing
Formative: quizzes on Classify, Contrast and Connect HenC sources
Case study presentation and report
Summative:
Written exam: conceptualize heat sources, quantification of heat availability profile, quantify heat transfer processes (75% weight)
Group project presentations (25% weight)
Scale: 1-10
Resit/ Repair opportunities:
In case of an insufficient final result, repair options may exist in accordance with Article 17A, Times and number of examinations, sub 1, of the Teaching and Examination Regulations, for:
written exam: Written exam or oral exam (depending on the amount of students)
