Beschrijving

This course is a ten-week, capstone project; students work in teams of 5 persons. Teams are formed by the module-manager based on student's preferences.

Teams work under supervision. Students are encouraged to also consult with experts and stakeholders from the field.

Early in week 1, students receive their specified assignment, namely the design of an intervention that enables stakeholders to implement a recent policy decision related to energy transition, mobility, or digitalisation in the Metropole the Hague-Rotterdam. Starting in week 1, the design team analyses the problem situation, frames the design problem, and then designs, evaluates and communicates suitable interventions. The final product comprises the lay-out of an intervention that implements the policy decision, namely: basic but well-aligned technical and institutional designs, a design for a stakeholder process that supports the realization of the intervention (including process rules), and other products needed to communicate these designs.

Deliverables are (1) A team report that documents all steps in the design process, including products that inform stakeholders about the results of the design process. (2) An individual reflection paragraph.
