FaculteitMechanical Engineering
NiveauMaster
Studiejaar2025-2026

Beschrijving

  • The literature study helps you learn how to independently search for recent scientific publications (such as journal articles, conference papers, theses, and books) and how to critically synthesize this information into a well-structured scientific report. It also supports the development of your academic writing skills.

  • You’ll carry out the study individually, under the supervision of a staff member from the Cognitive Robotics (CoR) group. In most cases, this will be your MSc thesis supervisor, since the topic of your literature study is closely related to your graduation project.

  • The outcomes of your literature study will directly inform and support the research plan for your MSc Robotics Thesis Research (course code RO57035), laying a strong foundation for a high-quality final thesis.

  • After completing the study, you’ll present your findings during one of the regular MSc Robotics student colloquia. This gives you the chance to practice presenting your research and to receive valuable feedback on your presentation skills and research plan.

  • You’re also expected to attend other students’ colloquia. This not only helps you learn from their presentation styles and research topics, but also gives you the opportunity to contribute by offering constructive feedback.
