Ultimate Strength of Maritime Structures

The goal of this course is to assess the safety of a marine structure subject to the ultimate limit state. A solid understanding of the ultimate limit state and ways to model it are developed. The main focus is on buckling and fracture. Analytical and numerical methods will be applied to both failure mechanisms.
