External Research Project
Beschrijving
The External Research Project involves a research assignment performed individually during which the student works (more or less) full-time in an external research environment, whether academic or industrial. The assignment is at a level close to that expected during the Masters research project. In this way, the student learns to analyse a given issue, devise an approach toward a solution, set up and perform measurements or calculations and discuss and conclude from the results. A report is written that describes and discusses the work performed.
By performing the External Research Project, the student learns to:
define, limit, solve and discuss problems within the framework of a predefined project both independently and in consultation with others;
report on the work performed
gain experience in an organisation other than TU Delft.
This project must be on a different topic than MS43702 Materials Elective Project I or MS43706 Materials Elective Project II. The course is only open to students studying within the Materials Science and Engineering Department.
