Crime and Disruption in the Art Market
Beschrijving
Crime and Disruption in the Art Market is part of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Joint Minor Authenticity and Art Crime. Methods, Materials, and the Market. It will provide students with an overview of how criminal actors can disrupt the art market and how the market itself can become a multi-dimensional criminogenic space. A range of criminal activities are discussed such as forgery, theft, looting, and fraud and their impact on collecting and the art market. The topic is approached from the fields of cultural economics, cultural sociology, and critical heritage studies, providing a transdisciplinary perspective.
