Advanced Operations and Production Management

This course focuses on operations and production management for various industrial systems, with an emphasis on manufacturing contexts. Key topics include lifecycle management of complex systems, system representation, planning and information flows, and the role of digitalization and smart technologies.

Students apply their knowledge through individual assignments and case-based group work. A structured five-stage approach to addressing operational challenges is introduced in the course, supported by a curated toolbox of frameworks and tools (the AOPM toolbox). The course encourages both guided and self-directed learning, equipping students with practical and analytical skills to tackle real-world operational problems effectively.
