Transport and Separation

1. Introductory refreshment of transport phenomena, thermodynamics, and basic concepts of separation processes.

2. Process equipment sizing and link to thermodynamic cycles

3. Multi-component separations: equilibria and mass transfer in multi-component systems.

Final grade is made of contributions from:

40% group assignments (skills: teamwork and problem solving)

10% exercises presentations (skills: communication and presentation)

50% individual written examination in Python (skills: problem solving)

A minimum grade of 5.0 for each graded item is needed to pass the course.
