Ontwerpen van Duurzame Biotechnologische Processen

Integration of various scientific and technological approaches, and their application to the design of sustainable biotechnological processes at industrial scale. Lectures from teachers and distinguished guests will focus on different microorganisms, products and processes. In a group project, you will apply the learned knowledge to redesign a biotechnological process aiming to improve its economics, safety and sustainability aspects. Results of the redesign project and learnings from guest lectures will be disseminated (and graded) through a report, an executive summary, one presentation and an exam.
