Health

Health is an elective course where the students will gain knowledge on designing products, services and interventions in the context of health with its specific stakeholders and conditions. The course will provide an overview of relevant topics, developments and challenges in health, such as advanced health technologies, patient experience, digitalization, regulations, etc. The Dutch health care landscape will be explored by capita selecta lectures and workshops. The lectures and workshops will offer the students different perspectives in the complex health system and will be provided by different stakeholders active in the domain of health, such as patients, informal care givers, healthcare professionals, designers, researcher, industry, etc. This course will also present a sneak preview of the topics, projects and research themes of the Medisign specialization. Medisign is a master specialization at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering and aims to educate dedicated and skilled industrial design engineers in the field of healthcare.
