What You Will Learn

In this hands-on course, you will:

  • Craft and validate user-centric value propositions that address real-world needs.

  • Develop business models by assessing user desirability, technical feasibility, and financial viability.

  • Navigate tech-enabled ecosystems by applying business economics theories and tools to conceptualise and organise multi-actor innovation networks.

  • Finance the development of new value propositions through appropriate business models, external funding, and optimised financial project management.

You will gain practical experience with:

  • Create and manage product-service cost structures

  • Planning sales revenue and capital needs

  • Managing cash flow and drafting income statements

  • Performing break-even analysis and assessing financial risks

  • Pitching your ideas to investors

From Idea to Start-Up

An integral part of the course is learning how to build a new venture around your chosen product-service idea. You will explore the entrepreneurial journey—from opportunity recognition and idea validation to launching a start-up and scaling your business. By developing a concrete business plan and go-to-market strategy, you’ll be equipped to turn your innovation into a real-world enterprise. This process includes identifying target customers, analysing competition, selecting appropriate legal and organisational structures, and understanding the operational and strategic requirements of running a successful start-up.
