Introduction, sampling theory, quantization, and reconstruction;
Digital-to-analog conversion: resistive, capacitive, and current steering;
Sampling circuits: theory, non-idealities, and advanced techniques;
Comparators: circuits, non-idealities, and design examples;
Analog-to-digital conversion: flash, SAR, pipeline, time-interleaving.
Toetsing
Weekly homework (formative assessment) + oral exam based on a selected ADC publication (summative assessment for 100% of the final grade).
Resit oral exam based on a selected ADC publication possible in Q4 for 100% of the final grade.
In case of an insufficient final result, repair options may exist in accordance with Article 17A, Times and number of examinations, sub 1, of the Teaching and Examination Regulations.
