Advanced System Dynamics

The Advanced System Dynamics course (EPA132A) comprises the following topics: conceptualising System Dynamics models, building and validating models, and analysing and using models. The theory underpinning these topics will be applied to a case which runs in parallel to the lecture series.

Guest lectures by experts in the field of System Dynamics form an integral part of the course.

The course is assessed by a mandatory test (pass/fail) on individual modelling skills, early in the course with retake one or two weeks later)

The final assessment consists students working in groups of 2 and delivering an SD model and an annotated PowerPoint presentation. Students who do not pass will be offered a supplementary oral or written examination assignment (maximum grade for supplementary assessment is a 6).
