Toetsing

Formative:

Students stay in close contact with their TU Delft supervisor / supervisory committee throughout the graduation project. They will receive formative feedback during the progress meetings and the regular supervision meetings. The role of the daily supervisor (who is also part of the supervisory committee) is more prominent: the 'dedicated' supervisor will provide feedback in all meetings, both with the committee and with the student (and additionally by mail/phone).

Summative:

During the green-light meeting, the supervisory committee decides whether the student can continue preparing for the final defence (and set a date) or whether the student needs to make significant improvements and an extra green-light meeting is required. In the green-light meeting, the student presents the project (for 15-20 minutes), which is discussed in relation to the report. The student will get final feedback on the draft thesis. A draft thesis is defined as a complete report with all components finalized and the report meeting the standard requirements (e.g., referencing and other technicalities). A decision allowing the student to prepare for the final defence can include suggested minor changes to this draft thesis, which can be completed well before the public defence.

Based upon the internal defence during the green light, the final thesis, the behavioural competencies, and the final presentation with public defence, the grade will be determined by the members of the supervisory committee as a weighted average of the following criteria:

Students started Thesis Prep (ENVM4000) before Q2 (2024/2025):

A. Scientific approach (25%)

B. Quality of result/product (25%)

C. Behavioural Competencies (20%)

D. Quality of written presentation (15%)

E. Quality of oral presentation and defence (15%)
