Build, program and operate a functional autonomous mobile robot.
The students will have to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the area of digital electronics, sensor technology and energy conversion.
The IP-2 project 'Smart Robot Challenge' is dedicated to design and build a wireless controlled robot that can autonomously perform a predefined set of tasks. The basic hardware is available at the beginning of the course, i.e. robot platform, Zigbee modules, battery and optical and acoustic sensors. The hardware must be extended such that the robot can transfer electrical energy contactlessly, and the robot must be programmed such that it is able to drive through a maze guided by a programme that runs on a PC.
With this, SystemVerilog programming and C programming are employed so that the robot can complete the various challenges and win against other teams robot the final competition.
