Linear Circuits B

This course, in its entirety, concerns the SYSTEM interpretation and modelling of relatively complex, linear circuits.

Upon building on the basis laid in the preceding part (EE1C1), the second part of the course (EE1C2) starts by introducing the methods for examining circuits under steady-state, alternating current (AC) operation. These techniques will then be used for: (i) performing entry-level frequency analysis; (ii) modelling (and designing) simple filters; (iii) evaluating the power transfer in AC circuits. The operation of magnetically coupled circuits will be touched upon. The course will subsequently progress towards inspecting more elaborate circuit transients via the Laplace transform. It will be concluded by briefly introducing basic two-port concepts.
