Assessment
After the lectures students have to form groups consisting of two (minimum) to four (maximum) students and write a short paper (approx. 20 pages) about a topic than can either be chosen from a list of available topics or their own choice, and agreed upon by the lecturers. The topic has to be related to the use of underground space.
After the paper is finished a group wise mark is given for the paper, based on the coherence of the paper and the understanding and ability to apply the relevant information from the lectures, literature and syllabi.
A (computerized) written exam is taken individually.
Judgement
The final mark is based on: 50% paper, 50% written exam.
