Functional design of roads and railway-infrastructure;
Roads and railways cross sections, horizontal and vertical alignment, integration of the horizontal and vertical alignments;
Roads intersection design, roundabouts and turbo-roundabouts, interchanges, and discontinuities;
Design for pedestrians and cyclists;
Design of trams in urban areas;
Human factors and road systems design;
Using AutoCAD and Civil3D;

Assessment and Judgement
The assessment in this course is composed of the assessment of the two projects and the written examination (digital examination via ANS) as following:
35% First project (a minimum score of 5.0 is required)
25% Second project (a minimum score of 5.0 is required)
40% Written digital examination with registration on campus (a minimum score of 5.0 is required)
