This course serves as a foundation for the Project Management: From Nano to Mega minor, providing a comprehensive introduction to essential project management principles.
Students will explore core PM concepts, including the iron triangle, trade-offs, scoping, scheduling, risk management, monitoring and control, project start-up, and project close-out. Additionally, the course examines the strategic role of projects within organizations, covering portfolio management, business case development, stakeholder management, project organization, and contracting.
Both front-end development and project execution are addressed, emphasizing how project managers and teams navigate unforeseen challenges. Risk management and project control are explored in this context, reinforcing the critical role of adaptability.
Ultimately, this course conveys that successful project management relies on people.

Summative Assessment: Digital exam.
The course grade is based on the exam grade (but only when all assignments have been completed sufficiently).
Permitted materials during exam: Dutch-English (or vice versa) dictionaries and a simple calculator
