Stage
Beschrijving
This research internship focusses on practical work experience in day-to-day practice of civil engineering companies or institutes (contractors, consultancies, government, non-governmental organizations, etc.) in the Netherlands or abroad.
As the title suggests: (a major part of) the practical work is dedicated to an individual (research) assignment, to be agreed upon with the internship coordinator and TUD subject supervisor, following the steps of the internship manual (see CME-organization on Brightspace).
Toetsing
The Internship is evaluated based on a written report to be handed in within 2 weeks after finishing the internship. An oral evaluation will follow with the students, the TUD subject supervisor and the coordinator. Also an evaluation of the company supervisor is required, see the course manual (Appendices) for all required forms.
The report can be rejected if the student has not met the requirements as mentioned in the overview, if the level of the reporting is insufficient or if the work performed does not meet the requirements. One opportunity for rewriting the report will be given. If a report still does not meet the requirements after it has been resubmitted, a new internship will have to be carried out.
--
Your grade for the internship is based on a judgement of the report on:
1) General engineering skills,
2) Technical knowledge,
3) Social and communication skills / reporting style,
4) Insight into own aptitude and affinity.
The grading form can be found in the internship manual.
For more information on grading, see article 14 in the Rules and Guidelines (RGBE): https://www.tudelft.nl/en/student/faculties/ceg-student-portal/education/education-information/educational-rules-and-regulations/
