Structural Design of Railway Track

CIEQ5261B replaces a CIE4870 Structural Design of Railway Track in the new MSc Curriculum.

CIEQ5261B contains a subset of learning objectivies of the larger module CIEM5260 Transportation Infrastructures, all taken from learning Unit 1 "Design and Construction of New Transportation Infrastructures".

1. written exam. A set of questions from this unit will be included in the Module assessment (practical questions on engineering/analytical methods, software for a real-life design problem).

2. Project presentation and final report. Designing, analysing, and communication skills are evaluated.
