Analysis of Slender Structures

CIEQ5002C replaces CIE4190 Analysis of Slender Structures, the latter course being discontinued with the introduction of the new MSc Curriculum Civil Engineering in September 2022.

CIEQ5002C contains a subset of the learning objectives of the larger module CIEM5000 Structural Engineering Track Base (15 ECTS), all taken from Learning Unit 2 "Mechanics of Slender Structures" from both the 2nd and 3rd educational period (Q2 and Q3).

Material delivered in Q2 will be assessed on the basis of a written exam. In Q3, the assessment will be on the basis of a final assignment, focussing on the aspects related to the analysis of statics of slender structures.

The weight for the assessments above are as follows:

- Mechanics of Slender Structures - Written Exam (Q2) 60%

- Mechanics of Slender Structures - Report (Q3) 40%

For the equivalent course CIEQ5002C, the focus will be on statics of slender structures.see assessment
