Flood Risk
Beschrijving
The Flood Risk Elective Module aims at the engineering performance of flood risk analysis, and evaluate flood risk reduction strategies and measures for flooding prone areas as well as flood defence systems that protect against the effects or impact of waves, currents and high-water levels, starting with understanding the underlying processes and related systems. It concerns the Quantitative flooding risk analyses of flood prone regions (polders) with and/or without the flood protection system which serve for addressing and quantify risks, anticipate changes and to continuously optimise risk mitigation measures and flood risk reduction strategies for the regions.
Toetsing
The CE HOS Flood Risk Elective Module is assessed by assignment portfolio (report) and oral exam (Q1):
Assignment portfolio (report): 60%
Oral exam: 40%
A successful participation in the module, requires a minimum evaluation of 5.8.
