Dams, Dikes and Breakwaters
Beschrijving
The module aims at the engineering design of hydraulic structures that protect against the effects or impact of waves, currents and high-water levels, starting with understanding the underlying processes and related systems. It concerns the design of breakwaters, dikes and closure dams; flood risk reduction strategies, and structures to protect beds, banks and shorelines.
