Digital Twins in Healthcare
Beschrijving
The aim of the course is to introduce the basic principles and concepts of human digital twins (a digital representation of quantitative human physiology and pathology). The course is designed to give students fundamental knowledge of finite element modelling and their application in development of predictive computer models, artificial intelligence (AI), surrogate modelling, and uncertainty quantification of computational models.
These aims will be achieved through interactive lectures, problem solving classes, and workshop on finite element modelling.
Additionally, experts will give guest lectures on digital twins and in silico medicine models, showcasing examples at various development stages and their potential use in medical device industry and clinical practice.
Throughout the course, you will work in groups on a clinical challenge to develop a digital twin for a specific application.
