Physiological Flows and Transport

The aim of the course is to introduce the basic principles and concepts of fluid flow and mass transport in physiological systems. The course is designed to develop a quantitative understanding of the underlying physical and biological phenomena governing flow and mass transport in the human body.

These aims will be achieved through conventional lectures, guest lectures on relevant topics from experts in the field, problem solving classes (involving problem sheets to be solved at home and discussed in class), and a workshop on computational fluid dynamics.
