Computational Design Studio
Beschrijving
The objective of the course is to design a multi-functional building complex, based on preconditions and environmental data, by utilizing computational tools, methods, and techniques in a workflow. The students will design basic algorithms to measure and optimize the performance of the building concerning the urban, environmental, and sustainability features. The course will explore how computational design and -thinking can enhance architectural design and its processes. The computational design models will be set up systematically and flexibly using (visual) programming tools.
The Computational Design Studio runs alongside Computational Simulations (BK7084) and both form the Minor Spatial Computing in Architectural Design (BK-MI-197). This minor is the second part of the Minor Spatial Computing for Sustainable Development.
