Research Project II Honours Programme Master

In the second year of the HPM programme (MSc 3en4, Q5-8) the student develops an individual, (design-) research-oriented study trajectory which is either:

- Developed in conjunction with the Graduation Studio the student has chosen, together with the studio coordinator and main tutor, or:

- Developed individually, possibly based on the explorative study carried out in Q2-4 of the first year, in conjunction with an individual research tutor, resulting in an integral academic research paper.

This reflective study will be carried out in the second year of the Masters programme:

- MSc3: research, preparation and presentation of an in-depth thematic study (can be in conjunction with the graduation studio);

- MSc4: further development of the thematic study in an academic report/paper and presentation in conjunction with the graduation project, or with the academic tutor.

The responsible design- and/or research tutor supervising the study, in conjunction with the responsible chair and research programme coordinator will assess the results of study for AR9027HPM.

Expected products:

- Development and presentation of an individual honours study project;

- Closing report and presentation in conjunction with the individual graduation project or with an individual research tutor.

All Honours Programme Master students are expected to complete their integral MSc study programme and the parallel Honours trajectory within 2 academic years.
