Urbanism Graduation Studio

The Urbanism Graduation Studio equips prospective urbanists with knowledge and skills in spatial planning and governance, urban design, and environmental technology, fostering innovation and collaboration while envisioning sustainable, inclusive, and liveable built environments. It consists of several Clusters (of around 6 to 10 students), each connected to these domains from its unique perspective, alongside an overarching supporting programme offering lectures/workshops for all students. Together, they represent a variety of approaches that demonstrate systemic thinking and create dialogues across scales and disciplines. Students develop individual graduation projects supervised by an interdisciplinary team of supervisors by applying academic methodology, urbanism theories, design and methods to tackle challenges in society and the built environment. There will be four assessment moments: A1 covers the draft graduation report ingredients and preliminary project proposal; At A2 the deliverables include the further development of these elements and results. A3 presents the outcomes of design and research, conclusions, recommendations, and reflection. A4 is the final presentation for a layman audience.
