EXTREME Graduation Studio

This studio focuses on resilient, humanitarian architecture in extreme environments, such as extreme climate and post-disaster reconstruction. Students will work with experts in resilience and humanitarian architecture much like in the EXTREME courses. Students will use architectural and technical design tools to address the challenges of extreme environments. More than in the other EXTREME courses, students in the graduation studio conduct research into the needs in extreme environments, and how good design is secured.

Students work within the domain of resilient architecture, analysing and reflecting on case studies, resulting in a research and design position. Students use an integrated design approach to develop their design. Students use models and their research to reflect on the performance of their finalized design.
