Complex Projects Graduation Studio

The building is the focus of the Complex Projects graduation studio. The particular title Bodies and Building investigates predominantly the relation between people and the buildings further referring to the notions, like specific and generic within building types, humans and objects in physical space, level of detail in the design process.

In order to investigate the topic, students are given the task to design one specific building which operates on the scale of the city. Each student will choose a large complex building, which is functionally specific and therefore a one-off in the city: e.g. parliament, hospital, airport, stadium, etc.
