Public Building Graduation Studio

This studio investigates the nature and the role of public architecture in the 21st century, by aiming to produce future-proof designs that are inclusive, hybrid, and sustainable. The studio will develop across the following phases: in Q6 it will consist of research-by-design activities such as fieldtrip, workshops, conversations with stakeholders and communities leading to an individual design position (for A1); in Q7 students develop their design proposal, informed by the work developed during Q6 (for A2); in Q8 students work on the materialization of their proposal, taking into consideration aspects of building technology, building physics, climate design, and aesthetics of sustainability (for A3).
