AI in Architectural Design

This 10-week elective course is structured in several phases, guiding students through the fundamentals of AI, the use of data and AI workflows with Python programming, and the analysis of real-world architectural datasets using provided tools. Classes take place over 8 weeks of active instruction. One week is allocated for non-instructional activities such as self-study or preparation, and the final week is dedicated to student presentations. The course is designed to build progressively—from conceptual understanding of architectural data to the practical application of AI techniques and critical reflection on their outcomes. A significant part of the course content is delivered through in-class workshops and hands-on Python programming sessions. Therefore, it is important that students attend the classes to fully engage with the material and benefit from the collaborative learning environment.
