Master Thesis Applied Physics

For students who started the programme in 2023-2024 or earlier, the old rules apply with this thesis project of 48ec. Students starting the programme in 2024 or later take AP3903.

The master thesis project consists of two separate stages: a 6 EC preparation, followed by 42 EC thesis work that includes writing the report and giving the final presentation.
A thesis project can be started at any time of the year in consultation with the supervisor.

The first part (AP3902PMT, 6 EC) is assessed and graded with a pass.

The second part (AP3902MTP, 42 EC) leads to a mark between 1 and 10.

The mark for AP3902 is determined by the mark obtained for AP3902MTP (provided a pass has been obtained for AP3902PMT).

Note: if the first part is skipped it will be graded with a 0, counting for 12.5% of the final grade.

The thesis project will be reviewed according to the grading scheme on the Thesis Office Brightspace organization.
