Climate and Remote Sensing

This A-module is intended for students that would like to combine units from the Climate and Weather and Earth Observation disciplines. You can combine core modules and A-module units from both disciplines. 

More specifically, you will follow one discipline core (AESM3010 or AESM3020) in combination with this A-module in which you select 9 EC from: 

• the units of AESM320A: Satellite Observation Techniques (6 EC), Geo-Informatics (3 EC) 

• the units of AESM310A: Cryosphere and Sea Level Change (3 EC), Atmosphere Surface Interactions (6 EC) 

• Discipline core AESM3010 (6 EC) or AESM3020 (6 EC) [the one you did not select as your discipline core]

Formative assessment

Depending on selected units, see corresponding course descriptions. 

Summative assessment  

• individual written exam with questions on all units (30% in total) 

• assignment portfolio comprising a combination of unit assignments (70%).  

The contribution of each unit to both exam and assignment portfolio is proportional to their ECs. 

A successful completion of the module requires a minimum grade of 5.8 per Exam/Unit Assignment
