After a short recap, more on differential equations: the Laplace transform, systems of differential equations and partial differential equations.

Toetsing

To finish the course, three parts have to be completed:

  1. The practical, consisting of six practical sessions.
Judgement: The practical has to be completed, by finishing each of the six parts with a satisfactory percentage. The final result for the practical is a V (pass) or an O (fail).

  2. The online course Mathematical Modelling Basics: a collection of exercises and tests have to be done.
Judgement: The online course has to be completed, by finishing the exercises and tests in the course with a satisfactory percentage. The result is a V or an O.

  3. A written exam with open questions.
Permitted materials during the exam: a simple calculator. A formula sheet is handed out.
Judgement: The written summative exam is graded with a correction model. The number of points that can be obtained for each question is shown on the exam and is relative to the importance of the learning goal that is tested and to the time it takes to answer the question. The result is a grade 1-10, which serves as the final grade for the course.
