Stability and Analysis of Structures II
Beschrijving
This course analyses the dynamic response of aerospace structures and structural components using numerical and experimental methods. The equation of motion for the dynamic response is formulated in matrix form derived from Hamilton's principle. Various time-domain and frequency-domain solution techniques are used for solving transient dynamic response and vibration problems. The course also covers experimental techniques to test the response of a physical system and to obtain parameters used in modal analysis.
The topics covered include:
1. Formulation of structural dynamics problems
2. Time-domain methods
3. Frequency-domain methods
4. Direct numerical integration
5. Experimental modal analysis
