Attitude and Orbit Control

This course covers various aspects of spacecraft attitude and orbit control, from theories to applications. The course comprises around 12 lectures and in addition 2 tutorials/seminars. The lectures focus on the foundation of attitude and orbit control, for example, attitude kinematics and dynamics, attitude determination methods and control algorithms, principles of sensors and actuators, orbit dynamics, absolute and relative navigation, and trajectory control. The lectures will also introduce the applications of attitude and orbit control in multi-satellites systems, including those for in-orbit servicing and formation flying. The tutorials/seminars guide students to apply the knowledge gained from the lectures on concrete real-world examples.
