Introduction to Aerospace Engineering I
Beschrijving
This first part of the course Introduction to Aerospace Engineering presents an overall picture of the aeronautics domain. This overview involves a number of different perspectives on the aerospace domain, and shows some basic principles of the most important concepts for flight. Then a part on Flight Performance is given, with the equations of motion and endurance, range, envelope, etc. Finally an introduction is given to to the underlying aerodynanmics, both incompressible flow (subsonic) as well as compressible flow(trans- and supersonic).
Toetsing
Exam consists of three different tests. Each of the tests is an on-site exam. The format of the tests is written (parts 1, 2 and 3) in three separately scheduled sessions.
The three different parts of Intro to AE I will together form one grade. There is no minimum score for each of the parts. The average accounts for the exam grade.
There is one session for a Resit in January. In this session each part can be redone separately. The recalculated grade is then the Resit grade. But be aware that the partial scores are only kept within the academic year, as after January only a course grade will be kept.
